Phase 1: Inspiration

STEP 1: INITIAL CONSULTATION

This is an introductory conversation where we listen to your goals, and you learn more about Freyenhagen Construction – the type of renovation work we specialize in and whether our services are right for you.

STEP 2: DISCOVERY

Together, we meet to talk in-depth about your lifestyle and the vision you have for your home. We also walk through your property inside and out, taking detailed notes, photographs, and precise measurements. This information provides a starting point for design exploration.

STEP 3: DESIGN

With finishes selected, your design professional uses advanced technology to generate 3-dimentional interactive renderings that enable you to truly experience how your new space will look, feel, and function. This is a collaborative process which allows for multiple ideations to perfect your design.

STEP 4: MATERIALS SELECTION

We provide concierge-level services to our clients, walking you through the smallest details of your design and helping you select your final finishes including appliances, specialty materials and color palette. Clients consistently rate our concierge service as invaluable to the decision-making process.

Phase 2: Execution

STEP 5: PRE-CONSTRUCTION

As the construction documents are prepared, your project manager will meet with you to discuss the construction timeline and what you can expect from our team during construction.

STEP 6: CLOUD-BASED PROJECT TRACKING SYSTEM

You will be given access to our secure, cloud-based construction scheduling system which provides a day-by-day, week-by-week schedule for your project. You will have advanced notice regarding dates when subcontractors and specialty tradespeople are scheduled to work, the name of the individual and company and specific work they will accomplish.

STEP 7: CONSTRUCTION

Most clients reside in the home during renovation, which means our workplace is your living space. We recognize the disruption construction can cause. Our goal is to minimize disruption as much as possible. We take active measures to mitigate dust, clean our work area daily, and properly secure doors and windows every day. For those who have children and pets, we incorporate special instructions in our work plan to ensure safety and security for all.

STEP 8: COMPLETION

As the project nears completion, we conduct a walk through with you to ensure every detail is precise. Our goal is to put the finishing touches on your project in a timely manner so that you can step into your beautifully remastered life.

We worked with the Freyenhagen team to remodel the main floor of our house including brand new kitchen, living room, dining room and main floor bathroom. Walls were moved and removed – down to the studs. Jeremy, Angie and the team were easy to work with. They made some important suggestions to make our new space not only beautiful but also highly functional for our busy family. They created plans far above what we thought possible for our space. In regard to planning, Angie was by our side at every appointment to help make sure we made the decisions needed and offered guidance for both form and function. This also occurred during the “shut down” for the pandemic so someone was home during the complete remodel for work and school.

The Freyenhagen team made this experience as “good” as possible. They worked the times they said and cleaned up every night.
